Dating Is a Joke

Brussels

Your dating stories. Comedy made on the spot.

Dating Is a Joke at WOLF Sharing Food Market

Dating gives us plenty to work with.

Dating apps, first dates, mixed signals and the stories you still tell your friends. Bring something funny, awkward or unexpected from your dating life.

That’s the material for Dating Is a Joke.

The audience brings the stories and observations. The comedians take them somewhere nobody planned. Some notes become a quick joke, others can send the whole room in a completely different direction.

There’s a structure to the show, but no two editions can really be the same. What happens that night depends on what ends up in the hat.

How it works

  1. 1 — Write it down

A funny, awkward or unexpected story from your dating life.

  2. 2 — Drop it in the hat

Keep it anonymous, or mark an X if you’re happy for the comedians to involve you.

  3. 3 — See what happens

The comedians pull the notes during the show and turn them into comedy on the spot.

Don’t want to participate? That’s completely fine. Writing a note is optional. You can sit back and watch the whole thing unfold.

Vibe of the room

Make a night of it. Come early for food from WOLF’s stalls and a drink before the show.

The comedy happens in The Lounge: a separate, enclosed room at the back of WOLF. You’re in a room for the show, away from the bustle of the food hall.
